As you undoubtedly know, this is the ‘Age of Implementation’. Your preschool child becomes more independent as each month passes bye. Learning to interact with adults and other preschool children is a major part of their development at this age. The pre-school child becomes aware that their world is changing in an exciting way. Castle Academy offers a full comprehensive educational program to help your preschool child develop Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive and Language knowledge to prepare them for Kindergarten. Your preschool child’s skill sets in the Language Arts, Mathematics, Reading, Science and Social Studies will be strengthen by our warm and loving talented teachers.
When you come in for a tour you will see an atmosphere of highly engaged Preschool Children with their teachers. Before making your decision, you will share in the experience of our state of the art facility.You will talk with your child’s Teachers, our Administrator and Tracy and John Castle (the owners). It’s important to make sure there is a good fit and that Castle Academy is the right place for all our children.
The Bumblebee Program
- The ratio of children to teachers is 10 to 1
- The classroom is uniquely designed to provide a comfortable natural light.
- Our preschool children become aware of the purpose for Space, Weight, Numbers and Letters
- Our preschool children have a sense of controlled independence. They go to the bathroom, get drinks, put their coats on all by themselves.
- Our preschool children work with advance puzzle solving, matching games
- The Curriculum used for our preschool rooms is Splash into Pre-K
- Weather permitting, twice a day our preschool children go outside and play on the larger play equipment. Bikes are a ‘Big Deal’ for the preschool children and there are plenty of them to go around.

Social/Emotional Development

Language Development
- Plays with words, sounds and rhymes

- Recognizes and identifies a few letters by name

Physical Development
- Moves with direction and beginning coordination
- Attempts to walk along a line, stepping off occasionally
- Climbs a short wide ladder
- Pedals in forward direction, steering around wide corners
- Throws, catches, and kicks objects with somewhat awkward movements
- Manipulates objects with hands
- Performs simple manipulations
- Holds a marker or crayon with thumb and two fingers, makes simple strokes
