Lots of Playtime, Centers and Large Group Activities

Castle-Academy-School-Child-Care-Skippack-Pa-Pre-School-2‘Center Time’ is a time for the preschool children to improve their socialization skills and attention spans in smaller groups. They offer our teachers the opportunity to give each child the attention they need to thoroughly understand and learn their lessons. The ratio of children to teachers is 10 to 1 with preschool ages ranging from three to four years old.

The classroom is uniquely designed to provide a comfortable natural light, windows that open up for fresh air and a lot of playroom with enough toys and educational opportunity for all the Preschool Children. There is no competing for things.

Our ‘Center Times’ are filled with lots of fun and learning. Our preschool children work with advance puzzle solving, matching games up to 23 matching boxes plus all the centers they experienced when they were 2 year old but at a much higher level. Our preschool children become aware of the purpose for Space, Weight, Numbers and Letters. There’s a greater expectation of our preschool children to learn their fine motor control. Learning to write letters, numbers and their name is a big accomplishment at this age.

Castle-Academy-School-Child-Care-Skippack-Pa-Pre-School-3Large group activities share equal classroom time. We have an exciting ‘Little Chefs’ program that all the preschool children love. This program brings together all of the lessons learned in our classroom. Our preschool children learn to bake cakes, make trail mix and share in the enjoyment of eating what they cooked during breaks.

Weather permitting, twice a day our preschool children go outside and play on the larger play equipment. Bikes are a ‘Big Deal’ for the preschool children and there are plenty of them to go around.

Our preschool children have a sense of controlled independence. They go to the bathroom, get drinks, put their coats on all by themselves.
